I noticed this both with the Radio plugin and the Soundcloud plugin. If nothing is running, selecting the favourite will start the playback like it should. But if the playback is already running, selecting the favourite will stop it and nothing else. This does not happen with favourites that are coming from the music library.

Has anybody noticed this behaviour and knows how to fix it?

That's quite an old version, which is no longer supported. We are at Kodi v19.3, with v20.0 being developed.
If this is a Kodi issue, it won't be fixed in the old versions. Try the current Kodi version and see if the problem is still present.

This is the highest that my raspi's OS has on offer. But I'll try to upgrade to 19. Thanks for the hint!
