movies on firestick no problems TV shows will just not play any help please

Are you aware that Kodi does not provide any content such as movies or tv shows? You are going to have to be a tad more specific about where these movies and tv shows are coming from that you are having trouble watching for anyone to be able to provide you with any sort of meaningful assistance. For example, do you have a large catalogue of local media that you are trying to play with Kodi? Or perhaps you are using an addon that provides content?
Before you take the time to give us a much needed and detailed reply please make sure you review the Forum Rules especially the section on Banned Add-ons (wiki). As you are a new user we wouldn't want you to start off on a bad foot.

OK it seems we are getting nowhere fast here.
The key to getting help is providing as much information as possible. Imagine going to the doctor and just saying “it hurts” and expecting your physician to know what is wrong with you. That is the equivalent of what you are doing here.
You will need to provide specific information (like the names of the addons would be a good start) or preferably a link to your Debug Log which will give us a look at what is going on in your installation.
But just in case and to save everyone wasting any more time, if you read the links I provided then you will see that we don’t provide support to installations that contain addons that serve up pirated content so if those are the types of addons you are using then you need not reply.
If you are using legitimate legal addons then by all means provide us the link to your log.
