Some AV1 1080p file on Kodi on an i7 windows machine gives me weird problems (arrow pointer stars to duplicate). Other movies work fine. IS this a known problem

On a related topic, is there any TV top box supporting AV1 codec? I tried S905X3 but I guess there is no hardware support because it's unwatchable.

You could try the recent v21 alpha 2, improvements went in the AV1 playback.
Backup your profile first or use portable mode -p to preserve your normal config, it's alpha after all.
