Is it still possible to download the HD version as the one I created 1.40 has issues with logging in to itvx account?

Go Here
Scroll down to the version you want, click on Assets and select the .zip file.

Thank you but is it the feature HD version with 1080 video? It doesn't say feature HD. I tied to do it the same way as last time from the feature HD fork and although there were references to the latest version I couldn’t work out, or remember, how to download the code.

https://github.com/dimkroon/itvx-for-kod...feature/HD

You have to download the zip then open the unzipped folder 'itvx-for-kodi-feature-HD' locate the folder 'plugin.video.viwx' and zip that back up. Update the addon with that zip and you get 1080p on catchup. Although I have actually edited the addon.xml file and renamed the addon itvX to create a separate addon so I keep the original viwX addon as that updates from the repository.

Thank you. Appreciate it.

Today I've noticed that shows that previously streamed at 720p now stream at 540p (example Coronation Street). This only appears to affect catch-up as live TV still streams at 720p.

Something similar happens on the HD feature version. Catch-up streams at 576p (was 1080p) live TV streams at 720p (unchanged).

At what resolution does the website play these episodes?

I don't actually know what resolution catch-up is from their website I assumed it was 1080p and that's where the feature/HD came from. But I'm not really sure what is the difference is between your published viwX addon and the feature/HD other than one was always 1080p and the other was 720p.

The Kodi player on the Amber skin I use displays the resolution if you just click the picture. This is now 540p but was 720p. If I change the input stream settings to "ask quality" I get these options:

SELECT VIDEO STREAM
VIDEO STREAM H.264 (512X288, 25 FPS, 504 KBPS)
VIDEO STREAM H.264 (512X288, 25 FPS, 704 KBPS)
VIDEO STREAM H.264 (896X504, 25 FPS, 1103 KBPS)
VIDEO STREAM H.264 (896X504, 25 FPS, 1403 KBPS)
VIDEO STREAM H.264 (896X504, 25 FPS, 1703 KBPS)

There is no longer any 720 option.

I did find this when trying to Google for a solution. It may mean more to you than me. https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/4173...-me-please

The website normally is 720p25 and viwX does the same as a regular web browser. The 1080 streams is just something I kind of accidentily stumbled upon when fidling around with some data. It was more luck than knowledge and that's why it's not in the main version of viwX. It is, however, relatively easy to keep it up to date (at least until now), so I usually rebase the HD branch after each release, just for people like yourself.
