Hello,

It seems that my Kodi through Flatpak is crashing randomly after some inactivity.
I was able to playback a movie yesterday (2024-03-28 until 22h30) and today I tried to access Kodi which was crashed, had to reboot my PC. It's not the first time it happened.

Do you think the issue comes from this or am I thinking wrong ?

there was an issue with our mirrors which caused that error. It's been fixed yesterday

Great ! But I don't know if it was that issue that caused the Kodi crash.
OK, I will give it a try and let Kodi run 24h a day to see if it crashes again.

I still have the issue.
In the logs, last lines are dated from yesterday when I finished to playback a video.
And I know that Kodi crashed/has frozen today at 8h09, because I have a double HDMI output on my PC.

First one to the AV receiver : no image, no soud
Second one to the TV directly : there was the last screen of Kodi with the time not updated and nothing was responding

In my knowledge I have no process which can explain that. So I have no clue if it comes from Kodi or my PC.

If you are still having this issue this might be a fix, I tried it yesterday after seeing a post about it on Mastodon and for the first time in a long time had no crashes last night!

Do you experience unexplained crashes or freeze-ups on your Ubuntu (or other) Linux based home theater PC or gaming system? Here is a possible fix!
