How to run Kodi (and Firefox) for Windows on Linux with wine.

Browsers supported by nowtv.it :

Google Chrome version 102 or later (on MAC and Windows)
Mozilla Firefox version 102 or later.
Safari version 14 or later (only on Mac, not on PC with Windows)

As you can see,Safari is supported only on Mac. This is the clear sign that they check the OS used.
And I'm sure that Firefox will not work on Mac.
They aren't clear. They don't talk about Linux at all. This is disinformation.

You need to go to a website that displays browser header info and see what information your browser is displaying and then edit the headers and then recheck what it is displaying.

Ok. I did what you have suggested. I went to ifconfig.me. But before,I have applied the Windows 10 user-agent on a real Linux and Windows 11 installations. Yes,I have applied the Windows 10 user-agent on Chrome 125 on Linux and Windows 11. I realized that I can watch NowTV on a real Windows 11 system even if I have applied the Windows 10 user agent,BUT not in Linux. At this point I have determined the differences,that you can see below :

Linux-Chrome125-ua-Windows vs Windows-Chrome125-ua-Windows

VS

GLS/100.10.9939.100","port":"39254","language":"it-IT,it;q=0.9,en-US;q=0.8,en;q=0.7,es;q=0.6,fr;q=0.5,ru;q=0.4,de;q=0.3","referer":"https://www.google.com/","method":"GET","encoding":"gzip, deflate, br, zstd","mime":"text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,image/avif,image/webp,image/apng,*/*;q=0.8,application/signed-exchange;v=b3;q=0.7","via":"1.1 google","forwarded":"57.11.99.100,34.117.118.44"}

I don't see much differences. I'm thinking that NowTV checks some informations that aren't seen by ifconfig.me

What does this say? Both edited and unedited headers?

Why is your unedited version saying Windows 10. It should say Linux.

I have applied the Windows 10 user-agent on a real Linux and Windows 11 installations. I have applied the Windows 10 user-agent for Chrome 125 on Linux and for Chrome 125 on Windows 11. I realized that I can watch NowTV on a real Windows 11 system even if I have applied the Windows 10 user agent,BUT not in Linux.

I suspect Now is using a different DRM than widevine so you will probably be out of luck.

I've been able to run Chrome with wine-tkg on Debian. It works like a charme. But I can't watch NowTv. Neither Netflix works (error M7702-1003) ; Nope I think they are running Widevine. NowTV may use version L1 that wants to have a dialog with the Windows kernel.
