Reading local TV episode NFO files only correctly reads first episode correctly?
#1
I've been trying to update some TV series I have stored locally, but Kodi's started ignoring all information other than the first episode (which is particularly odd) from the index.nfo files I have (strictly local). Any idea what's going on? There's nothing evident in the log files - it finds the NFO file, but then ignores the rest if it's not the first episode. I've tried clearing out tag entries, but that doesn't seem to help. Files that I know worked previously (a couple of years ago) now do the same and clear info out instead.

index.nfo: https://paste.kodi.tv/ineloyivoh [stored as UTF-8 with BOM, per VS Code]

It looks like Kodi hasn't recognised the file as having multi-episodes.

There was some work done for bluray folders, I wonder if this is a gremlin that has crawled into the changes... https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/24314

Would it be possible for you to convert that file into mkv outside of a bluray folder and try scanning with the same nfo file? I don't have a MySQL setup, so I can't test your exact scenario.

Is this the same as https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/25201??
Could you try and Omega nightly and see if that works??
Thanks

Looks like this doesn't work either - given s00e01_s00e02_s00e03_s00e04_s00e05.mkv and s00e01_s00e02_s00e03_s00e04_s00e05.nfo, it acts the same as before and adds the first episode but creates the rest as blank entries.

This looks to work! Here's hoping it doesn't make any non-backwards-compatible changes to my database. 😅 Now I guess I get to wait for a formal release (21.1 / 21.0.1)... published to the MS Store. 😂 Thanks!

No, there won't be. It is part of the v21.1 release. Should be officially released in the next couple of weeks.
