No, it is still there. Works fine for me.
Ah, I didn't realise it's only available in a certain mode. I was trying to figure out how to add “ update video Library” and “ clean video Library” to my video Library similar to AF. it was very convenient because I did have to exit the Library to update it. Now I realise it's not possible with AF2.

Thanks so much for this skin, I've been using AF1 for a while but this is much cleaner and easier to work with.

Only thing I wish it had was the option for trailers to show in the top right corner when you highlight a movie/show for x seconds like you can in AF1 and like with Netflix.

Any plans to do it?

Regardless it's great and I've uploaded my layout which I hope you all enjoy viewing.

OK, please disregard the part of my last post regarding the request about the auto trailer. I've since learned that it's been discussed to death and reasons given why it's a bad idea.

Sorry about that.
Amazing skin nevertheless. Thank you for your efforts in creating it.

It is possible though... The dialog you get when adding shortcut options is different from the one you get when adding widgets... When editing categories, options menu, or custom menu items, you get the shortcut options dialog, and you can find the kodi commands at the bottom of that.

When editing widgets, you get the widget options which doesn't have the kodi commands. However, you can get the shortcut options in widgets by adding a custom submenu... When you add this, you get an additional option to edit items, then when editing items, you get the shortcut options, but this doesn't work in hubs 1107 - 1109... the custom submenus in these hubs still bring up the regular widgets dialog and I'm guessing that may be what you're seeing.... In this case, you can just add a "none" item, then type in the action of the command you want. In your case it will be UpdateLibrary(video) or CleanLibrary(video).

can AF2 be configured to add “ Update Video Library " to my "TV Shows Library" ?

 As you can see, It's very convenient to update the Library without exiting the Library.

Yes in Skin Settings > Menus
@jurialmunkey
Any chance you could remove the white border in Includes_Home.xml
Currently line 468

<param name="bordersize">2</param>

It looks better without for my dark profile picture

Thanks

Ohh I see what you mean now... That particular method of accessing the options tile is not currently available on AF2, but it is still just as easy to access without leaving the page via the options menu dialog.

Go into skin settings > under menu... click on "customise options" > A dialog will pop up, move down and click on "Options tray", then you can add your library update and clean actions there

Then you can either download the keymap edit addon. In the addon, go into edit > Global > ActivateWindow > Select shutdown menu and assign a key on your remote to it > then go back and save it. Or you can edit the keymap file manually and add something like this
<global>
<keyboard>
<key id="insert key id here">activatewindow(shutdownmenu)</key>
</keyboard>
</global>

Now whenever you press that key, it will bring up the options menu and your options tile will be at the bottom

Love the new skin. Completely ridiculous how much faster it is on Google streamer than the original Af
One quick question will we have the ability to put power ,options,reload at the bottom of each row of widgets like on old AF. I found that really useful in all scenarios. Forgive me if it's already there or how do I activate it? Please and thank you beforehand.

Thanks for taking the time to explain. I'll wait to see if jurialmunkey will add a more flexible "options menu" in the future. it's a shame because all his other skins had this option.
Thanks again😀

Hi, just love for this skin. Thanks for that.

I’ve discovered one bug. I use the Twitch add-on and setup my subscriptions (live channels, etc.) as a widget. As soon as I want to start a stream from this widget, Kodi crashes. AF1 did not have this problem.
Would be great if this get fixed.

Thank you.

Is there a reason why only the Advanced hub mode shows spotlights?

Sorry I don't really understand what you're asking here.

That's literally what advanced mode does...It sets the hub to allow advanced features such as spotlights and categories (ie so the hub is more than just widgets only).
I'll rephrase my question. Why does only 'Advanced' mode apply a horizontal category layout and spotlight? I much prefer a vertical layout for categories, but selecting any of the vertical modes (Basic or Detailed) means that there is no spotlight (unless I have missed a setting)? Why no vertical category layout AND spotlight?

A few months ago, you kindly told me how to change the episode formate from 2x1 to E2 S1(settings.xml). With the latest AH2 update, it has stopped working. No issues with AF & AH2.
Has something changed with the latest update?

Two reasons.

1. It doesn't make sense navigationally from vertical as you would need a diagonal movement to reach it and remotes do not have diagonal directions. Using a left/right direction to move diagonally upleft or downright is confusing from a ux perspective. It also looks incredibly awkward in terms of animation to have diagonal movement.

2. It doesn't make sense with how vertical works as one big group to randomly have spotlights in the middle when scrolling down/up through the widgets. It would also be a nightmare code wise to try to manage this behaviour and would complicate things immensely.

In horizontal spotlights make sense because they are always at the top of the group, not the middle; and the navigation always feels natural because it is a simple up/down movement to travel from categories to spotlight and back.

Thanks

I have switched to using the proper default labels and I cannot control how kodi or other add-ons format them.

This feature needs to be requested for kodi itself to allow formatting season and episode numbers in a different way.

No worries. Gone back to the previous version and removed repository.jurialmunkey-3.4. Also AF still working without issues.
