Req KODI Changing size on RasPi
#1
Exclamation
On Raspberry Pi: KODI runs ok. Then I leave it sitting idle and turn off the TV. When I turn it on the next day, KODI is a smaller window on the desktop. It has no decoration so cannot be maximized. If I exit, it leaves the RasPi hosed and I have to reboot (sometimes impossible) so I have to reboot every day. Screwy symptoms, I know.

Might be better to run kodi from the fullscreen menu launcher option.
Wayland support for minimising/maximising windows has some glitches.
If you need to run it windowed, then here would be a better place to report it
(I think it's a wayland compositor/window manager issue rather than a kodi issue).

You might also consider a dedicated kodi install like LibreELEC which wouldn't have this issue.

yes this is something from the system
my system with debian trixie+wayland does the same thing occasionally when the monitor shuts off and wakes back up
(monitor disconnects, display capabilities are lost and display resolution is auto switched, monitor wakes and gets polled for capability and resolution is switched back)

and indeed a purpose built OS like libre would be a good option
