Kodi doing strange...........
#1
I am running with ubuntu 22.04.5 and 19.4 Debian package version: 2:19.4+dfsg1-2 Media Center Kodi from Debian

I have recently installed kodi.  I also installed my movie and tv show stuff and imported same.  First I setup the sources then went to the main menu and setup movies and tv shows including going to the sources, etc.  then I went back to my main menu and checked what I have and it all looked dandy.  Then I went to shows and choose a show with 50 episodes.  When I went there I was shown 3 and when I tried to run one of those it told me that it wasn't there.  I thought that to be a bit strange.  I then went to options and it said that there were only 13 shows total and on one season only 3 were there (there were a LOT more there!).  Anyway, then I went to plain old 'files' went to the folder that held the shows, went to the show I was taking a look at, and started playing any one that I saw with no problems.

When I went to options I told it to only show me those shows that had not been seen (when I checked there were none that had been seen)  That made no sense to me.  I have, obviously, done something wrong, have no idea what to do next.  Oh, I think that ubuntu was playing each of them with 'Videos' which, I think, is their option to play videos.

Thoughts?

How are you adding to the library? Using nfo files or a scraper and which one?
You toggled the display setting in the left sideblade menu to ALL Videos?... https://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_controls#Sideblade_Menu

Need a Debug Log that captures the scanning.

first I created 2 sources in the file manager.  One for Movies and one for TV Shows.  After that I went back to the main menu and pressed the movies, then the file manager, and, if I remember correctly, had it scan the folder that held movles ("movies").  Did the same with the tv thing but for a folder called "Solarr".  If I goto the file manager, goto movies or solarr, they are all displayed.  For some reason, however, Kodi liked the movies but was not thrilled with the tv shows.  these were used in a previous installation of Kodi with no problems whatsover.  Another thing is that neither folder has any used files.   So its a little strange.  My original thought was that there might be shows that sonarr put in that could not be dealt with with kodi but I don't think that's the case if Ubuntu Video handled them.  I could send you a couple of things from the tv show thing if you want (just tell me how many you want)

Hmm, you don't add sources in the File Manager.
Add them in Videos>Files. Check my Signature for links to create video library.

If you are using Sonarr, chances are that it is creating nfo files. Sonarr nfo files are not fully compatible with Kodi.
Disable nfo file creation in Sonarr.

Thank you!!
After reading what you said it dawned on me that I had read all of that, forgot it, then thought I knew everything (demented).  I do apologize.  I will forage ahead and then tell you the results.

Thanks again!!

Boy, I screwed up things bigtime.  I got ride of my sources, went back to the main menu and movies and tv shows are the same and need to go.  I am not sure how to do that.  After I do that then I have to put Movies and TV back and then not screw up.  I think I can click on each and go directly to videos but am not sure.  If I remember correctly (unlikely) I have to either click, or push on TV or Movies and I get right into Videos but am not sure so I need to know, exactly, how I do that after I get rid of what I have right now.  Actually, I wonder if I should just remove Kodi and start over from scratch.

Thoughts?
