Main Menu - How to Add Queued Items or "Favorites"
#1
What I want to do sounds simple. I know I can add movies to a queue such as a playlist. To get to it I have to go into the Movies Menu under the Main Menu and then get to the sidebar and then click on playlist.

I'd prefer to get to the list right off the Main Menu. To that end I tried to re-add the Favorites Menu. I added a movie to Favorites and when I went to add Favorites back to the Main Menu, that single Movie was listed, rather than a 'container' to any movie I added to Favorites.

Is there a good way to have movies selected for future watching (tagged to watch later) that can be accessed right off the Main Menu?

For example, my wife love at this time of year, Christmas movies. We tend to watch a movie together Friday night. So I could pick some during the week, put in a queue or playlist, and then come Friday, off the Main Menu, see the selections. -- Rather than writing them down or trying to remember them.

Which skin are you using?

You could use the Favourites method you mention, or you can use Tags.
Why did you add a single movie to Favourites, and not the playlist? How are you creating the playlist and is it a smart playlist or basic playlist? Playlists (wiki)
For tags, you could create a Tag named Christmas, add your movies to it and add the tag to the main menu, depending on which skin you are using.

I am using Estuary MOD V2 Nexus

For a long time, I had deleted the Favorites out of the Main Menu. So tonight when I tried to add it back, Under Configure Skin, Customize Main Menu, Add with the + button, Choose Menu Option, Favorite, there was nothing in it to choose. Only when I added a movie as a Favorite, did that movie show up as an item to be selected.

Sounds like you have gone to the wrong Favourites item. Favourites, as in items you have marked as favourite, is what you have chosen, instead of the container Favourites.
Have a hunt around the selection options. But the favourites you want should be already there, just disabled.
You should ask in the skin thread if you have problems.

Thank you. I think I deleted it somehow, I've looked pretty much everywhere. But I will try the Skins thread next.

This thread interested me as it was very close to what I was trying to do. I downloaded the script, but I had no success with it working. Best bet is getting the Favorites to work as it is already a context menu item.

I had a quick look at the skin.
This is the default Favourites code. If you add it exactly the same, you should get the Favourites container showing everything in favourites, and not linking to one favourite as you have done.

Perfect. That worked exactly. The key was getting the syntax for the 'change action.' Movies show up perfectly. (I don't like the black vertical bars on each side of the movies as opposed to just the thumbnail in the Movies and TVShows listing). But it works!
