Unable to FTP Using XBMC
#1
hiya all,

im just starting out using xbmc, and i think its great, but i cant seem to ftp to my xbox whilst the xbmc is running.

in the settings it is coming up with the correct ip address, and that it has been assigned by dhcp, and they are the same as in evox but when i use flashfxp to try and connect i get an unable to connect message.

however, if i reboot to evox, and try, it connects straight away, what am i doing wrong.

i am using the latest build of xbmc, and the xbox is connected to my pc via router, linksys befsr41 with 4 ports.

please help. also, if someone could give me some info, on how to access my hdd on my pc through xbmc, i would be extremely grateful.

are you both using flashfxp?  i'm having no problems with smartftp. one thing to check, i'm using the config file from cvs, i think someone altered the xml file by running it through unix2dos when they built the version you have, try with the original.

as you can see charly fixed it already by restarting fklashfxp. btw a simple refresh of the ftp listing will work too. just press f5 after connecting to xbmc/p in flash (this is only a issue if you used evox ftp server before). the problem id that flashfxp caches the drive listing of the last connection to the xbox (ie evox), but the drive naming is another in xbmp/c, so it trys to access a drive that is not there (well it is, but with another name).

ah, i might get round to changing the way xbmc handles drive letters on the xbox, make it work like evox.
