is there any way that you guys offer binaries for the xstream servers?

yes, i know there is a install file and i know how to do compile anything. it is just that i got here a pure multimedia pc (only) and i don't like to have all the stuff needed to compile sources on this machine.

regarded to people new to xbmc/streaming it would be easier aswell with just installing the binaries, or easier, a *.rpm or *.deb.

there are plenty of binaries for servers available (in fact more binaries than source unfortunatly). the servers are not compiled with the xdk and are freely available. if you are using linux, you could always boot knoppix or something, compile and transfer the results off if you prefer not to install a compiler etc.

yes, i agree, it could be done like this. i will do it on my other machine, as soon as i get inet access in my flat.

but regarding binaries for newbies, it would be much easier with already compiled binaries. it is also legal, so it should be a problem and not much work for the devs imho.

it got ccxstream-1.0.15-1.i386.rpm ready for different redhat versions. will propably work on other distris aswell. sourcerpms are provided aswell.
