hi.
if i set my creative inspire 5500 to "dolby pro logic" mode i can use xbmc with all surround speakers, and that's good. but every time i play a new file or shoutcast playlist, the mode is reset to "stereo" one and i have to re-set it manually to "dolby pro logic" if i want to enjoy all speakers sound.

nothing to do with xbmc... dolby pro logic surround is basicly a stereo signal with surround sound mixed in the stereo signal.
please check the creative inspire manuals if there is an option to keep it in pro logic mode.

no there definetely (sp?) is something wrong. my denon reciever resets to pro logic whenever i change track even though i have set it to stereo. this has never been an issue until one of the latest builds and its very annoying.

btw, with xbmp the audio mode is always on "dolby digital", the third and last option, and it sounds very good.
resuming:
my 5.1 system has three output modes, "stereo", "dolby pro logic" and "dolby digital". not all of them are available all the time, i suppose it depends from the input signal. with latest xbmc (dunno with previous ones) i can only swith between stereo and dolby pro logic - dolby digital is forbidden. but xbmc reset it to "stereo" every item it plays.
xbmp set the mode to dolby digital, and it is good, stop
also, sorry if i repeat this issue, cdda only play in "stereo" mode, while original dash outputs on all speakers. don't know if it is a bug or a feature that is still missing.
