shortcuts scanned with 12-8 cvs. previous ones deleted.
using msdvdremote. selecting shortcut locks up xbox.
tested several different xbmc-generated shortcuts and none is working.

i fixed it by starting another dashboard and then removed the \tdata\...face008? and \udata\...face008? directories from within the other dashboard. (in xbmc it looks like some directories/files are hidden through ftp)

this was fixed yesterday. launching applications would hang xbox.
you will have to wait for the new build.
i had the same problem.. this is the fix that went in:
12-11-03 fixed: unable to start a program when http server is activated
