Hi all,
I'm using a Asus eee Box 1501, connected to a 50" plasma (Pioneer PDP-507XD) throgh HDMI.
I'm now using the 9.11 Beta 2 version. Due to that the 9.04 version had problems with using graphics HW
When playing HD material 720p 1080p there is no problems at all. The problems occur when playing SD material for example a DVD iso file.
1. The upscaling of the DVD SD material seams very bad. or not at all done. In the 9.04 version there was a selection for "Use High quality upscaling" or something like that. I can't seem to find that in the 9.11 b2. Is it removed? Or is it due to that this is a beta release?
2. The other problem that is actually related to the above is that I can't switch resolution. What ever i set in the video setting, my plasma still only reports 1080i. Is there any other setting that will affect what is output through the hdmi?
It would be interesting if it would be possible to set different resolutions depending on media, for example 575p for DVD 720p / 1080p for HD material.
All ideas about this are very welcome.
