first of all i wanna say that i really like xbmc even though it is still alpha. i too have video/audio sync issues with it. i can always fall back to xbmp so there is no problem. but i just wonder why xmbc has these sync issues. mplayer is both the core in xbmp and xbmc. maybe the mplayer core in xbmc is newer, but then it should be better? or is the way video is handled in xbmc different as in xbmp. maybe someone can shed some light on this, i am really curious.

the weird thing is that not all of us have these sync issues.
we need to find out what the common things are of the people having these issues.
is it only on pal? only ntsc? only mp3 sound??
so many differences.
because of the fact that nobody in the dev team and testers have these sync issues makes it hard to solve.

when we did have a sync issue, it was solved pretty fast.
