My version of xbmc is linked to mx player as it works better . Not sure if the official versions have been fixed to work on android properly but I want to use the subtitles addon within xbmc ? But I can't get it to work with the mx player ..
In the default xbmc player you just have to press the little square with the circle in it . But not sure if there is an automatic way with mx player / xbmc
Is there a way I can switch between players in xbmc as a work around ?

I would use our XBMC, since... we are XBMC. We have nothing to do with that site.

Hi everyone,
I think that, leaving all of the controversy of the external player aside, there is a legitimate and reasonable request in wanting to be able to use the subtitles addon independently of the video player. There is no reason for any xbmc developer to worry about the experience beyond the limits of the xbmc application but maybe there can be a compromise solution which is fully within xbmc. In my opinion, this could very well be calling the subtitles addon from the video list before even starting playback. I doubt there it would be necessary to have the video playing to download the subtitles, since it probably just needs either the file name or the cooked video name (movie/show+episode). Whatever information it uses it is probably available before playing. Am I correct? If so, maybe adding a "Subtitles" entry to the context menu so that those who use external players can run it while still in XBMC could be a reasonably accessible solution.
Anyway, all in good spirit. Many thanks for a great app, I don't think it is ever a bad moment to say that and remind us all of it.
Thanks!

I tried the xbmc video player but the playback motion is like frame by frame. First I was thinking that my android tv box hardware had the problem, but when I put mx player, the motion is fine but I can not download and put automatically subtitles to it.
So I think that if you can put the little square with the circle in it addon in the mx player screen , that will be the perfect combination. Or is it possible to fix the xbmc player to work as good as mx player (I think the problem is that the xbmc player does not use H/W decoder as mx player)
