i have a query regarding aac-lc 5.1 audio. here's my situation, i've converted some of the apple 720p trailers to xvid 720p using the settings i usually use for smooth running 720p on xbox. the original trailers use aac-lc 5.1 audio, so i tried keeping these streams in their original format to avoid having to recompress them. i realise xbmc will transcode in realtime to dd 5.1 and it does a great job of it, however after playing these trailers for a minute or so (depending on the hard disk cache setting size) they eventually start stuttering. to make sure it wasn't the video encodes i transcoded the audio to dd 5.1 and the resulting files play perfectly. could this be pointing to some kind of memory leak in regards to the aac 5.1 playback? i'm actually at work at the moment so can't provide a logfile, but can add this when i'm next there.
if there's any other information i need to provide please let me know.
edit: wasn't sure if this belongs under support or bug discussion so please feel free to move it if necessary.
