Android XBMC android cannot be found as AirPlay target
#1
I have my samsung galaxy 3 installed with 12.2 lately, and enabled 'Allow XBMC to receive AirPlay content' as I used to do with my XMBC on other platforms, but neither ipad 4 or iphone 5 can found it as an AirPlay target, surely they are in the same network, is there anything else I should configure to make it run?

Many thanks.

There should be a setting:

System/Settings -> Network -> Services and enable AirPlay

Known issue due to the lack of zerconf/bonjour on most Android devices. Other apps have gotten around this somehow, or have included some kind of Android friendly zerconf service, but I don't know much about that topic, unfortunately. I just know that with a stock XBMC install that AirPlay won't work on Android.

This sounds sad to me, if the stock XBMC install fro android is not going to have such feature supported, but anyhow thank you for your advice, I will try to have a look into such zeroconf service for android.
Many thanks.
