I have Mythtvubuntu installed on a VMWare machine. I also have a NAS QNAP. I have space on the Qnap and it is not over utilized while the VMVare has several machine on it. Can I move the recording and the live stream using HDHomerun on Qnap instead of the VMWare directory? Are there any pros or cons by storing these files in the Qnap onstead of the VMmachine?

Yes. Mount the qnap and set a storage group. By the way this is not a mythtv support forum. It is for the PVR.mythtv add-on.
