I like to have my Kodi library up to date and also like to clean it to get rid of stuff that I have deleted but are still in the Kodi library. Since I always watch my TV Shows after they are recorded and Comskipped via the files function. Up to now I have had a little python program that executes a Kodi-Library Clean via JSON at 3:30am every morning. It gets kicked off by the Windows scheduler.
So I have looked at Watchdog and Library Updater. It seems that Watchdog is more or less real time while Library Updater is more of a schedule. The little I have read on the topic seems to show there is more "overhead" with Watchdog.
So just looking for input from other more experience Kodi users to see if there are advantages or disadvantages to each that make it clear cut I should use one or the other. Or maybe there is something else out there.
Any input would be much appreciate.
Running NextPVR 3.4.8 and Kodi Helix 14.2 on a Brix I3 and Windows 8.1 on my main HTPC, also have a raspberry Pi and Zbox 18 (both with latest OpenElec Helix builds) in the bedrooms. They don't get all that much use so I manually do updates and cleans on them but may put one of these two service programs on them as well.

Looks like no one has any opinions on this. I guess I will just try both and see which one I like the best.
