I have installed kodi remote on my iPhone and iPad. But in both cases I'm not able to connect to the Kodi instance on my PC, although the app is able to find the kodi instance. I tried browsing with the help of a browser on both the devices and I'm able to browse and use remote control to control my kodi instance.
Also tried another remote control available on appstore and that works fine without any issues, but I'm not able to make Kodi official remote to work.

Please help.

Did u fill out all the fields (including the blank fields for the ports - 8080 and 9090)?

Maybe it is a firewall issue on your pc?
I have kodi running on my fathers laptop, will try that this week.

Out of curiosity - why would you want to make do with a remote for ur laptop, if thats prob sitting less than a meter away from you, and having full keyboard and mouse?
