Hi,

the new AppleTV (v4) seems to be pretty slick. Considering that Kodi now works on all sorts of machines, including NAS systems, having the official Kodi Remote in the Apple Store for AppleTV would be super cool!

I know that tvOS is not equal iOS but would hope that the changes for porting the iPad version to tvOS would not be major. I also know about the MrMC/davilla thing, but to be honest having Kodi Remote would be a good option at least till Kodi gets rid of some of its cruft (if ever).

I notice the Plex team did this with their remote app.

Eh ? Turn the ATV4 into a remote for what ? Not sure why one would want to do that. The tvOS app store is only for apps that run on the ATV4.

The official Kodi iOS remote already works fine (at least reported by MrMC/tvOS testflighters) so nothing needs to be done to support Kodi on the ATV4 except getting Kodi running on it.
