Hi there,

Recently added widget derived from Smart playlist

Looked around for this but could not find a explanation on how to create it.

My smart playlist shows the content of a particular folder.
I created 4 Smart playlists (movie, tv show, kids movie and kids tv show)

Does any of you guys and gals have an good explanation on how to create it?

Widget is auto created for smartplaylist, first you need create item main menu based in one smartplaylist, using customize main menu, now return to home, go to item based smartplaylist, press up arrow, and navigate widgets you find smartplaylist (name smartplaylist), select and done.

correct me if I am wrong, and you probably will ....

You are referring to the option shown in the video @ 4:46. If so then this will give a list from smart playlist but which is not a recently added list.

One think is have widget for your movies filtered by smartplaylist, other is recents movies...

If you prefer show new items you need edit your smartplaylist and create rule for show recents first..

Include in this rule for don´t show item watched.

One tip, create 2 smartplaylist for each item, you need put 2 in main menu, but one turn off for don´t show, ex recents, in this case when enter in library you have all items, but recent will show only new and unwatched.

Concept flexible widget is put any widget in any menu item..

This worked nicely

There is even a "bonus" to this.
Instead of showing me the individual episodes separately, it shows me the TV show which has a new episode and when selected go's to that episode in the TV show list.
This is very handy when multiple episodes have been placed in the TV show. This way you will not start the wrong episode by accident.
