Win Retro controllers

I'm after all sorts of recommendations and help today. I've got some ROMS, and I've just seen that Advanced Emulator Launcher was released a while back so I'm looking to have a play with that...

...can anyone recommend so decent all-round retro controllers? I don't really want to buy one for Sega, one for NES and so on...although I like the style/feel of an Xbox controller over anything else...any recommendations greatly appreciated!

Although it might not give you the right nostalgic retro-gaming feeling, the Microsoft Xbox 360 (wireless) controller for Windows is the most compatible you will find:

I hear that the Xbox One controller is also good, but it is not yet as compatible as the Xbox360 controller because it cost more and have not been around as long.

Xbox 360 gamepads (wired and wireless with USB dongle adapter) works with almost all operating-systems and most emulators have default button mapping for it.

I believe that the second-most compatible gamepad controller is the PlayStation 4 (PS4) DUALSHOCK 4 controllers which works over Bluetooth instead of a dongle.

Thanks all...after a lot of looking around, I ended up buying this 3rd party 360 alike...having owned a 360 in the past, I knew I liked the controller, so despite the lack of nostalgia, went for it.

I have to say, price to quality ratio is awesome. When an official one is about £40, this was a steal and build quality is around 85% that of the official controller...works a treat in both emulators as well, and controls Kodi to boot.
