I have seemingly fixed your issue with the favourites widget and uploaded the changes to the Lyrebird git. Please play test and report back if there are any adverse behaviors or effects.

Now, favourites items non clickable again...
I try on Mimic and Lyrebird on old and clean installation of kodi- same effect...
I also try delete and add menu-item-widget again- no effect...

Any ideas?

Ups, problem "non clicable favourites" is solved by me (in Mimic skin) ))

1. Install "Service Skin Helper Service Widget" addon with dependencies
2. In Skin settings remove "favourites widget" and then add "default widget- Service Skin Helper Service Widget- favourites -favourites" widget

I've forked Mimic (and Omni) and commited some fixes (ExtendedInfo integration, weather bug). Will try to fix the non-clickable Favorites next, in the meanwhile use the above workaround.

I am going to try this... was using Lyrebird until last year when dev ceased. I recently returned to Kodi over last week.

1. BTW, I had a PIN widget pop up on home screen issue at boot with the nice Lyrebird mod, likely because of a mixed up On v Off toggle with the Startup setting with master mode in profile settings.xml ... My setting was off, but I kept getting the popup at boot and later.

2. Where are the skin settings stored, and can a backup/restore be done as in Arctic Zephyr 2?

3. I also want my home folks to be able to setup WiFi without having to unlock other Kodi or Skin settings (just so they don't mess up.)

Am using discourse.coreelec.org on my x96mini tv box and wondering how I might use ActivateWindow (*) or similar to bring up the WiFi control menu either directly from connman ( network manager) or CoreElec Settings , e.g., ActivateWindow ( CoreELEC Settings, Connections, return).

It will be nice anyway to include CoreElec / Libreelec.tv settings menu under your Skin too. Otherwise my kind of user will have to switch back and forth with the default Estuary Skin.

I haven't touched any of the code for the things you're asking. If it worked on original Mimic it will work on my fork.
This fork is only to maintain it and fix present issues and I didn't see any on the original Github regarding skin backup.
Don't expect an overhaul (yet). But report bugs here or add issues on my fork page on Github.

Haven't backported any of the changes in Lyrebird, this is pure Mimic code with just a couple of fixes applied. As Omni (and my Omni202 fork) is based on Mimic I am using Omni's repo for reference.

I am having a problem with the backgrounds on the home menu however. I am using 18.6 Leia and the background fanart does not work for me





I have done a little searching before posting this and although it was said that the dependancy for the skin helper script had been removed,but I know that was the suggested fix for others, so I checked mine just to make sure and I have the latest version of that installed.

Wow hey, seems like I was too late and the images got deleted? Could you please send me a PM instead? I don't have any issues with backgrounds and neither do any of my testers so I am intrigued.

Can I use Arctic Zephyr 2 skin config settings on Mimic 6.x here, on Kodi 18.5+ ?

I've been using the default Estuary skin on Kodi 18.7 (on Win10) for quite a while, but I just thought I would try the Mimic skin and found its look to be quite elegant. Unfortunately the Favorites menu doesn't work for me. Below is my main screen which looks quite similar to my home screen on Estuary, but with Estuary, I can click on any one of the 5 favorites and they immediately open, or I can navigate to the desired favorite with the arrow keys and press Enter and again the favorites will open. But in Mimic I can click on these icons till the cows come home and simply nothing happens. I find it pretty amazing that something so fundamental doesn't work. I suppose I may be missing something but it is hard to imagine. It turns out that the Favorites are pretty much the only thing I use in Kodi (other than a very occasional use of a video add-on or two) so unless there is a fix for this I guess I should continue to explore other skins.
