Linux Various Issues
#1
I very much like Chorus, but I'm wondering about a few issues. Some are probably bugs, but some might(?) be config issues. (This is with Kodi v18, Chorus 18.x-2.4.6.)

(1) When I search for music by artist, I get a blank grey square next to the artist's name, as if a picture is supposed to appear there. Bug?

(2) I can search for an artist's name and get music results, but if I try to search for a film director's name it doesn't work. I have to set a search filter, which is slow and awkward.

(3) In the music library, if I have a compilation album whose "Album Artist" field of the mp3s is "Various", when I try to open "Various artists", Chorus hangs on "Just a sec" and doesn't give me any results.

(4) If I open a list of albums by the same artist, there is some broken HTML under the Album title, in the "subtitle" field, because the tags have been converted to HTML escape characters. This looks like a bug.

(5) If I add an album and then delete it, Chorus still has the deleted album in some cache, and "Scan audio library" doesn't resolve this. How do I flush the cache?

Any suggestions? Which of these are bugs? Which are config issues? Any work-arounds?

This happens a lot to me too on different occasions. I suspect it has something to do with conflicting tags for songs of one album.

This is what I observe also. I hope this will we fixed soon. Should be very easy to do so...

This can be resolved by using the "Clean Library" command from Kodi Settings - media -Library - Music Library.
I also would like to have that option inside the chorus webif.
