I still don't understand why you don't just use audio profiles.
I can switch to / from hdmi to bluetooth audio and automatically adjust to my chosen preset volume with one click of my remote, or from a favourite, or from a submenu on my home screen or from a button in the osd while I'm watching something.  How is this easier?
