due to fact that kodi on android devices cannot get yadif 2x deinterlacing due to cpu not so powerfull, i'm thinking if deinterlacing coul be done on tvheadend side.

Anyone has idea what or was able to get yadif 2x working with tvheadend?

yes, i made that setup.
it converted 1080i50 to 1080p50.
had it running on a beefy 24 core 2.4GHz server.
it crashed my clients frequently and channel change was very very slow.
a non workable situation for me.
but this was 3 years ago... maybe something has changed.
