Hello!

Kodi looks amazing, but UI a bit crowed.

I have music, video, books folders, I wish to have only those folders displayed on main page with simple navigation (without may clicking which is currently default)

Is here any simple skin/addon which works like folder browser mode only (no additional menus / clicks)?

If you go to Settings>Interface>Skin>Configure Skin>Main Menu Items you can disable which menu items you do not want.

Thanks. I know about it. But menu still requires to make 2 clicks and it is hard to configure and navigate through folders. That mode I'm taking about which looks too complicated

Any simpler solution, like basic folders in linux works with nice kodi display style?

Add those folders as sources at the kodi filemanager.

Then navigate to Settings -> Interface -> Startup and choose "File Manager" for the startup window. 

Kodi will start with the Filemanager and only those folders being shown. 

You can't simply show the folders from your HDD at the Estuary Home screen. 

Not sure why ppl install a software like Kodi which is generally a "Mediacenter software" and only reflect to the option to browse files. This Kodi instance must run on some OS and I highly guess that OS has a filebrowser as well. But yeah, usecases differ
