Hi Skank,

I did have a look at your logs, and it appears you have a lot of 'unavailable' stuff in your configuration. The devices do not have a 'friendly name' which makes the addon crash. Since they are unavailable anyhow, I suggest you remove them and clean up HomeAssistant. In the meantime I`ll put this on the list to fix in the addon.

Hi, i want to contol HA via Kodi on a FireTV Box. I've made a backup from the Kodi config via ADBLink, so i can add the token from HA and copy back the Config to the FireTv.
Unfortunaltey i cant find a config file for HA/YAML. In what configuration file\database is the token stored?

Possible to turn on a switch without stopping playback? I added a switch to the Favorites menu and I use my remote to call the Favorites menu while watching a movie. When I select the switch it stops playback.

And a token tip to others: You can paste the token directly to Kodi using the Kore app on Android. Make sure that the entire token is selected in HA before you hit Copy if you do it on mobile.

I dont see what you mean. You can turn devices on and off now already?

Unfortunately not. The HA functionality is more or less hacked into Kodi. When selecting a device to switch on or off Kodi handles this if its playing a movie. If someone can come up with a better solution please let me know.

The config is in the addons\script.program.homeassistant\resources\settings.xml file

:

<settings>
    <category label="30001">
        <setting id="haServer" type="text" label="30002" default="https://myfancypancyhainstallation.duckdns.org:8123" />
        <setting id="haToken" type="text" label="30003"/>

Can you check if you have enabled the debug mode in the HAKA settings AND in the Kodi system settings? I`m missing quite some logs.

As you might have seen, the issue might be in the SSL side of things. So a few questions:
  • Is Home Assistant using HTTPS?
  • Do you have HTTPS:// / or HTTP:// entered in front of your IP adress settings in HAKA? (It should be one of these)

@Jasper_H585
Hello
Hope you are good?

Does this plugin work for Kodi 20?
If not then are you looking at updating it or you no longer maintain it?
