Just got my new HTPC, Intel e8400, 4GB ram (corsair 800mhz) Gigabyte GA-EG45M-DS2H (g45 chipset). Windows XP Pro SP3.

Installed XBMC and everytime i try to start the program, the screen turns black for 3-4 sec and the it returns to windows.

Here is my log: http://www.pastebin.ca/1179972

Thank you very much and thanks for a great app!

upgrade your drivers. you're running the microsoft opengl 1.1.0 drivers.

I have now downloaded new drivers again from gigabytes homepages. For both the chipset and the Vga.

According to the Device Manager them both have Intel-drivers. Perhaps XBMC cant recognize the G45-chipset?

check this line in your log:
unable to load C:\Program\XBMC\language\English\keyboardmap.xml: Failed to open file at line 0

Seems that a file is missing. This leads me to think that your install is corrupted or that xbmc dont has permission to the folders.

If you you vista make sure to run xbmc as administrator.
Delete the whole xbmc folder. re download the latest build from this forum and reinstall.
