Hi guys,
I have, for years, used SMB as my connection for Kodi on my local network and it has largely worked well with minimal issues though recently I've started loading content via a web server (I've grown sick of managing local hardware) and I've found that it won't load subtitles automatically (as is my default in the application) whereas in SMB, it would.
Is there any fix for this?
Does a new version of kodi address this or via some plugin (I'm using 18.7 on android)?
I can't easily use webdav on that server though, if that's the only real solution, I might consider going through the hassle of installing it as there's no automatic package and it's somewhat manual to configure...
As of current, I have ftp/ssh and https installed on this server and I've found that for whatever obscure routing reason, my connection is much faster via https than via ftp/ssh.
Thanks guys
-Dave
