Not sure if this is Kodi or my hardware, so apologies if this is the other end of things.

Older NVIDIA Shield, Kodi connected to my NAS via UPnP. Shield had low memory, so I popped a USB drive on...

And I lost all Kodi settings. No big deal, set it up again.

Except now, even when all the other settings stick, the NAS has to be added again every time I restart Kodi.

I'm at the ragged edge of my do-it-yourself, here. If there's any advice, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Any updated Shield device, old or new, at the moment is quite a mess, thanks to Android 11's expanded policies on storage.
