Wayland kodi multiscreen
#1
Hi,
I begin to plan my transfer to wayland from X11 (hdr, latency, adaptive refresh rate, well its the future ^⁻^).
My setup : archlinux, left screen is primary (dell), right screen is my TV.
Latest KDE.
When i launch Kodi, it starts on my primary screen.
In kodi, i have 2 choices in the settings : xwayland0 and xwayland1 (in kodi it tells me that i use wayland and not xwayland).
Whatever i choose it stays on the left screen.
I tried to use KDE setup to force the place of the window but it doesnt work.
I tried to use -geometry in konsole but it doesnt work.
The Log :

Any idea ?

Bibi

When i put my mouse on the right screen (tv), kodi is launched on my tv.
Seems to be a problem with kde, which open windows under the mouse.
I have tried to configure kde with a special case for Kodi, but it doesnt work...

kde bug : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456467
But this morning i tried gnome and it is exactly the same issue... So i guess it's a kodi bug.

It's simply not implemented ... so rather a missing feature.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Aieaieaie ^^.
Hope someone will take care of this soon, it's really something needed to use with Wayland.

Could someone indicate me in kodi code how to fix this.
I need Wayland and its kind of a shame that kodi is not usable with it....
