I have used Kodi on RPis with nextpvr for 3+ years now and I have never seen this before. I just changed providers and, on some channels, the screen scrolls black from the top and the bottom. Almost like widescreen on a 4:3 screen. The background stays the same, so if I am going to the channel from the guide, the guide will stay in the background. I have audio but basically black bars on the top and bottom with the guide in the background in the middle. When I use Kodi on my PC, the channels work fine. I am wondering if it is a codec issue.
Any thoughts on this one?

You're right. I was busy trying to explain the issue.
I run NextPvr on a windows 11 machine
LibreElec 10.0.2 on RPi4 4gb running Kodi 19.
NextPvr client kodi addon
Using OTA and IPTV channels.
I will look into your link as well

You mention changing providers, what about changing between OTA channels that wouldn't have changed. Also maybe turn off auto frame rate for your monitor.

You mention it happens when changing channels (in subject).
Kodi20 currently has this issue (see link).
If you are running kodi19 on your AML setup it's likely not the bug i mentioned.
