I'm kinda chuckling because about a month ago it said " 89% complete" and "5 months overdue" (!) than about a week or so later that was removed and replaced with the current "no due date." 🤔

I have no issues...

I wondered myself why every community is talking that they wait for kodi19.5 until they fix an issue and as @RCBodyslam wrote it was written 5month and now completely gone the due date I was surprised.

The intention is to release a v19.5, but as we are low on staff, and most of our effort is going into v20, so we cannot commit to a release date.

But you are waiting for some fix in v19.5, then most likely it is already in v20. And you can easily download the most current build of v19, which is essentially an unofficial v19.5.
