Seemingly random crashes watching DVB-T
#1
Hi all.
I installed an AMD RX550 after giving up on my Nvidia card.  I'm not actually sure I've installed the drivers correctly (maybe someone can tell me) as I had various issues with the install. Anyway, my problem is that when I watch live TV at some (random) point the system will freeze. I really don't know where to start.

Log file here: https://paste.kodi.tv/awisaqimal

Anyone able to provide some steer as to where I should start looking?  Thanks in advance.

You need to post the log from the crash in order to get some diagnosis.

I thought that was what I had done; I enabled logging, rebooted, replicated the issue and uploaded the log. Have I made a school boy error?
Is there a different log I should have uploaded? Apologies for the silly questions.

you have 3rd party addons that could be causing the crash. some of those addons happen to be banned which preclude you from support.
do a clean kodi setup devoid of addons that are not part of a standard install and go from there.

Yes, however there are two entries that are probably leftovers from piracy installations. I highly recommend you remove these script/plugin modules. Anything running in the background can affect core Kodi functionality.

Code:
2023-02-13 16:21:48.917 T:3261 debug <general>: ADDONS: update check: addonID = script.module.resolveurl.xxx / Origin = repository.StreamArmy / Version = 2.1.17
2023-02-13 16:21:59.455 T:3788 debug <general>: ADDONS: update check: addonID = plugin.video.itv / Origin = repository.supremacy / Version = 2.5.9

Thank you for providing the specifics.  I don't see those addons installed anywhere and the only repos I have available are legit (I think): Kodi Add-on repository and CastagnaIT repository.  Looks like I'll have to find a way to remove those, although I don't know where to start!

Edit - Oooh - I might have done it.  In file manager, addon data or something like that.  I'll try and replicate the issue and try again!

Search for orange-colored entries at the end of the log file. They are still there.

Oh yeah.  I see them.  Thanks.  Well, I think I might have finally done it. (Famous last words?!)
