SMB Password changed, can no longer connect to server.
#1
I have my media on a windows server, I changed the password and of course could not connect any longer through Kodi on my Odroid N2 running Coreelec.

I tried to edit the password in Kodi, kept getting "operation not permitted". I then said oh well I'll just resync (I only use SMB for music, TV and Movie is ran through Emby for Kodi).

So I completely removed my server from the file manager, but I keep getting the same error above, no matter what I can not access these shares. All my other devices, (Nvidia Shield, Zidoo Z9X) were fine after I edited the SMB password.

Any idea how to get this working again?

verify coreelec is using the correct version of smb
verify coreelec can ping the windows server

All versions of SMB are turned on in Coreelec (this was never changed to begin with). I can successfully ping the server from Coreelec.

Really strange.

all of them being on doesnt indicate which version is actually using
the ability to ping does rule out some generic network based connectivity issues

I’ll have to do the log when I get a chance. Might just wipe it and try Kodi 20 since Coreelec just updarted to it. Not sure, thanks for the help.

Good day,

Just a quick question: have you considered looking in the password.xml file located in the data folder?

Thank you, I haven't messed with .xml's in Kodi, I'll check it out.

EDIT** They had the old password, was able to change over SSH remotely to home PC. I'll see when I get home if it worked. I assume it will.
