Linux Manjaro Kodi Missing Fonts and NFS connection loss
#1
Hello all, I've been running Kodi on Manjaro for a while now, and I am facing 2 issues I could not find the answer for.
The first is that I recently switched from the beta that is through flatpak of v20 to the community version of 20.1, and I don't have fonts there just one, and I cannot control the size of subtitles and such.
How can I add back the default fonts for support for the subtitles and other languages?

The second issue has been with me for months. If I boot up Kodi and wait a few minutes without launching a file from the NFS share, then try to open one, I get an error saying it's unavailable or something. Same thing when pausing a video for long enough.
When I close Kodi and reopen it, everything is fine. Is there a setting I am missing on either my server or on Kodi that could solve this?

Thanks for reading my questions and have a great day!

I'm just brain-farting here, but some people use something like AutoFS, while others use more persistent NFS connections via /etc/exports. What is your NFS server config?

It's a truenas scale nfs share. not really sure what that uses.

regarding nfs on truenas dropouts, it sounds like truenas settings

regarding missing fonts, pretty sure manjaro maintains their own packages

What setting? I looked at all the NFS related setting and found nothing that could relate to that.

As for Manjaro, I searched the package manager, but found nothing about fonts.
