Hi there,
I have a couple of x264 files that look washed out when playing with Kodi. Mainly the blacks do look grey (letterbars and content) and the contrast is bad. I searched about the issue for a while now and it seems like this could be an issue related to a 'limited colour range (16-235)'. However, the same files look fine in VLC or Windows Media Player (windows 10). Are these handling the files differently than Kodi? The files are not HDR. The setting "use limited colour range (16-235)" is disabled in Kodi. Is there a way to fix this for these files? Thanks in advance.
