UI resolution on Amazon Firestick
#1
I hadn't used Kodi in quite a while, but figured I'd get it up and running again. I've used Kodi on a Firestick to stream movies from PC. I just reinstalled from scratch to version 20.1, got my PC share connected just fine. I'm able to stream a movie from my PC to my TV in the correct resolution, however the Kodi interface itself "doesn't quite fit", i.e. the outer most portions of the UI screen go beyond the edges of my TV, so I only see say the central 90% of the UI on my TV screen. It's a 1080p TV, for reference. I can't find anything in either the Kodi menus or the Firestick's menus to adjust resolution.

It's kind of a minor issue as it essentially does what I want, stream movies from my PC to my TV, but I'd still love to be able to fix this.

thanks 🍻

Disable your TVs overscan setting.

I can't find an overscan setting to disable. For reference my TV is an oCosmo ("oCOSMO 47-Inch 1080p 60Hz LED MHL & Roku Ready HDTV (Glossy Black) " bought in 2013, the product details have been scrubbed from Amazon).

Also wanted to add that, while watching a movie, if I bring up the Kodi overlay, while the movie is still correctly displayed, the UI overlay, again, is not.

I'll take a look, thank you.

I also wanted to add that I've used Kodi before with this TV for a number of years without this problem, fwiw.
