Android No full screen when playing with built in player
#1
Hi all,
I have an old tabled, huawei mediapad m1 8.0, where I just want to play some movies and series which are stored on a shared disk in my home network.
I installed Kodi 16.1,  and I believe I can’t get any higher version on this due to the Android 4.4.2.
Anyway, it works fine, and I realized that the Kodi built in player seems to be able to play even large video file better than external players, like VLC and UPlayer. With “better” I mean without lags.
The only problem with the Kodi built in player is that I can’t get a real full screen as it always shows the Android controls on the right (back, home, …). This doesn’t happen with the other players.
So the movie size results smaller as it fits in a smaller screen due to the always active controls on the right.
Is there a way to get rid of them, so the image can go up to the right border? External players don’t manage the large files right for some reason.
Here’s the view with the Kodi built in player, and the view with an external player.
