Linux Cannot Manage (delete) Files or Folders
#1
I seldom need to delete files or folders as a simple Kodi Update from the server gives me that option, but I discovered that in my TV-Series I cannot delete any folder beyond the letter U. If I use a mouse right button to jump to Manage>Delete the cursor jumps to the last U entry series and does allow any V or W series Managing. If I use a track pad the same result occurs. Even if the folder no longer exists on the server I cannot eliminate the Kodi folder even with multiple boots. This very strange to discriminate based on series alphabet titles.

My recourse is to delete the entire library and rebuild from the server data but I was definitely curious if anyone had any ideas for a simpler fix as I prefer to know what actually happened rather than starting over. Using the latest Kodi version on Linux with Libreelec latest. Thanks.

since you are a linux user i would imagine you are familiar with using a keyboard

use the arrow keys, 'c' to bring up context then arrow keys again - kodi is intended to be a 10 foot interface and rarely lends itself well to mouse and trackpad

fyi libreelec is linux itself so i dont understand how you can be "using linux With the latest libreelec", it would just be the latest libreelec

'latest' is also not a version number

There is a setting you must enable to allow deletion. From memory its off by default

Problem solved. Had to change settings in General to allow modifications and used keyboard instead of being more lazy. Thanks very much.
