There seems to be many problems with xbmc related to
drivers, especially ATI.
For some weird reason i had some really old ati drivers, and i had alotta
issues with video playback, performance was bad, alotta video files just stopped playing and scaling was totally buggy.
One day back i got my head right and installed latest ATI drivers. Now it seems that almost all problems regarding video playback is solved ! yeah i should have done this long time ago but i just forgott this basic thing
Maybe someone should post a sticky about the importance of the latest drivers ? it's easy to forgett even for me and im fairly experienced computer user.
Also maybe the devs should select a driver release from nvidia and ati and then stick with this release when coding and testing. Then xbmc could recommend that users should install this exact version. This way we all would have some common ground.
With some many different driver versions floating around there is just to many x factors. we should limit these factors in all areas we can.
This way it would be a recomended driver version for xbmc.
