Dvd / iso playback issue
#1
Hello all,

I've got the following issue:

I made an iso (DVDFab5) of one of my CSI dvd's. When i play the iso with xbmc it shows a two black bars on the screen, one top and one the bottom of my 22" samsung LCD. When i play the same dvd in my sony dvdplayer it plays fullscreen.
I use the atlantis beta 1 release, with the video resolution on 'auto'

How can i get my iso's playing fullscreen?

Greetings,

Silverside

Might be a problem with the way you extract the movie from the dvd.
Many extractors on auto will set the frame according to the first frame.
This is usually warnings or menus in 4:3 reolutions.
You have to extract the movie itself and forcing the resolution to make sure that you get what you want.

It could also be that your settings in the dvd player is set to "stretch"

Computer monitors are generally 14:9 not 16:9 like TVs.

You can switch between different modes (zoom, 16x9, 14xsomething, etc) if this isn't done automatically. Not sure which button it does.
