HDR 10 support in Kodi from Debian
#1
Hi,

recently I upgraded my media center from Raspberry Pi 4 to x86 device (AMD Ryzen 9, integrated GPU). It works on Ubuntu - however when I play a 4k movie with HDR10 it doesn't switch to HDR mode anymore. On Raspbery Pi OS it was working perfectly fine (and I guess these are very similar systems).

Is there any option to make it working? I did some research in google but couldn't find the solution.

Best regards
Tomasz

Ok, I spent over an hour trying to study the thread you mentioned (and dozens of links appearing there). However it's a little bit messy and I am not able to find a solution.

Is there any clarification you can give me to have this HDR on my Kodi on Ubuntu?

I can't speak for Ubuntu but I compile Kodi and run it on Debian Testing using GBM, and HDR has worked great for a long time. I haven't updated Kodi since video versions was being ironed out though. Wanted to wait until that was settled first.
