CPU / GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
Kodi 21 RC1
Fedora 39 x86_64
Kernel 6.7.9
Mesa 23.3.6
With the GL renderer the GUI has no problem running at a full 60 FPS. The CPU is not stressed (<10%) and all media (both 24FPS movies/shows and 60FPS ATSC broadcasts) play at their full frame rate.
With the GLES renderer the GUI is choppy. The "video info OSD" window confirms this by saying the system is only rendering at 18 to 19 FPS. CPU usage is very low (under 10%) during video playback, but the video is choppy. My TV says the video output is 3840x2160 @ 60Hz.
Is the Mesa GLES driver the problem or am I doing something wrong?
