Hi
I am experiencing wired problems with Kodi 21. Here are the scenario's
Scenario#1
PC no 1 is in my one TV room connected to Harman Kardon amplifier. This was a fresh install of Fedora 39 and flatpak Kodi 21 passthrough works 100%. This PC was upgraded to Fedora 40 and still I have Dolby TrueHD formats paying without any issues.
For this PC I use the command flatpak run tv.kodi.Kodi --audio-backend=alsa
Scenario#2
PC no 2 is in my home theater connected to yamaha amplifier. This was Fedora 34 initially and recently upgraded to Fedora 40 because above scenario worked. Now system will not play DolbyTreHD or DTS-X formats. It will just play Dolby or DTS of the same file instead.
For this PC when I use flatpak run tv.kodi.Kodi --audio-backend=alsa and when I play Dolby TrueHD format I hear scratching noise. So I either have to run one of the below for a HD audio format to downscale to non-HD at least.
flatpak run tv.kodi.Kodi --audio-backend=test or
flatpak run tv.kodi.Kodi --audio-backend=alsa+pulseaudio
What could be causing the issue, because, both the PC's have AMD GPU, same version of Fedora and same version of Kodi. Also in the settings I can see the options to enable HD audio.
